Work with me

Know whether your grades still mean what everyone assumes they mean.

The Readiness Diagnostic establishes where your district actually stands on instruction, assessment, and measurement, and gives you a defensible plan for what doesn’t hold. This is not an AI engagement. It’s an assessment and instruction engagement that exists because AI happened.

What it measures

Five dimensions, starting with the one that breaks first

  1. D2

    Assessment Validity

Can we still tell what a student knows?

  2. D1

    Instructional Redefinition

Have we defined what changes about teaching, or only written rules about tools?

  3. D3

    Educator Readiness

Are teachers ready to make this shift, and how would we know?

  4. D4

    Data Governance & Availability

Can we legally and technically use our data?

  5. D5

    Capability Measurement

Do we know whether anyone is getting better?

Scored on the NIRN implementation scale: Exploration, Installation, Initial Implementation, Full Implementation. Designed to be run again in twelve months so you can show what moved.

How it works

Three steps

  1. 01

    Readiness Snapshot

    30 minutes · free

Structured questions across the five dimensions, ending in the single finding that stands out most. Bounded, and not a full picture.

  2. 02

    The Readiness Diagnostic

    3–4 weeks

Assessment artifact review, a rater calibration check with your own teachers and student work, a staff instrument, cabinet interviews, and a data and systems review. Produces a scored baseline across all five dimensions.

  3. 03

    Readiness Review

    Live session

Findings delivered live, never cold, with a sequenced 12-month plan and a re-measure date already on the calendar.

What I promise

A diagnostic you can safely commission

Teachers built your assessments in good faith, under an assumption that was true when they built them. The findings are about systems, not people.

  • No finding reaches your board without you seeing it first and shaping how it’s framed.
  • You own the report and the data.
  • Findings attribute to systems and conditions, never to named staff.
  • This is not an integrity investigation. No student is investigated, accused, or identified.
  • Fixed scope, fixed fee, fixed end date.
  • No product attached. Nothing in the findings points to something else being sold.

For the skeptic

What actually happens

The diagnostic starts with your assessments, not with opinions about them. I review a sample of the assessment artifacts your teachers use and ask a simple question of each: if a student handed this in without doing the thinking, would we be able to tell?

Then a rater calibration check. Three of your teachers score the same student work, blind, against the same rubric, and we measure how far apart they land. It needs no AI framing at all. It turns an abstract worry into a number you can show a board, using your own staff and your own work.

The rest of the diagnostic adds the context around that number: what teachers are ready for, whether your systems can join the data you’d need, and whether you’d know if anything improved.
